Visiting Scholar

Albert Morera

Albert is currently working in the Peay Lab as part of his PhD in Spain. After finishing his bachelor and master degrees in forest engineering, he is now focused on studying the relationships between mushroom productivity and diversity and environmental changes resulting from global warming. Due to his background in forest management, his PhD aims to be part of the available science that will allow, together with adaptive management strategies, to anticipate the impacts of climate change on natural ecosystems. He has also shown special interest in applying state-of-the-art quantitative methods to better understand the processes that shape the distribution of biodiversity through time and space.
