Dr. Rolando Perez

Rolando was a graduate student in the Department of Bioengineering that was a good friend of the lab and had Kabir on his dissertation reading and defense committees. His dissertation work focused on developing tools for bioengineering basics, biometrology and biocivics with wood-degrading fungi. He created the Myco-Metrology Kit, the Mycotronics project and wrote the script for the Making with Mushrooms graphic novel. He is now the Chief Science Officer for a mycological production startup.
