Lydia Villa

Lydia is an undergraduate studying Biology (with a concentration in Ecology & Evolution) and Art Practice. Growing up in California, Lydia has developed a long-term interest in wildfire ecology and specifically the effects of wildfires on plant communities. She is currently working on developing her senior thesis project which will focus on Coast redwood seed germination and how it is affected by changes in the microbial communities post-fire. In addition, she helps with other projects around the lab, including greenhouse work and soil analysis. Outside of the lab Lydia enjoys making all types of art, running and working with kids.
